so we've been going since it was just the bleacher seats. I liked the new terrace last year - but we need VIP viewing at ALL the stages!

Im torn. I like the bleacher seats because I knew I would always have a place to sit. Bring along a stadium chair, and youre golden. The Terrace has shade and you can get closer to the stage, but not enough places to sit. I know in the bleachers one complaint ppl had was the assigned seating, both from ppl with bad seats and people who had good seats, but with ppl sitting in them. Now the second year I went it was great.. I had section A, second row because I bought my tickets early. But a couple ppl in their early 20's who bought their tickets late thought it was OK to sit anywhere 'because no was really sitting in their seats' and I said, "well actually everyone with good seats around here ARE sitting in their assigned seats and they are going to want their assigned seats. So if someone makes me move becaase youre sitting in my seat, I'm making you move." Its OK to be a row or two away from your seat, but these ppl werent even in the right section (someone else eventually made them move) The terrace was good, but not enough places to sit and many just sat on the stairs, which made getting past them difficult. Over all I liked it as its still better than GA /rant

My feeling is that the gold passes are very much worth the extra money. The bathrooms, dedicated bar, and the main stage viewing are excellent. As I said earlier, viewing at some of the other stages would be nice.

Awesome pics admin. Marlon what did you decide on? Idk if it's worth the extra $575, the website doesn't make it seem THAT great...

Michael - do take into account that the exchange rate is in our favor right now, the gold passes come down to $440 US, so it's $220 more than the regular pass. (I would not do the Platinum if that's your talking about - that is not worth the extra $). The pictures are of the terrace, at the Main stage, which Gold passes have access to. It gets you really close to the Main Stage, which can be a little hard the way the stages are set up.

I went with the gold tickets. I agree that the money for platinum just wasn't worth it. Also Platinum is currently sold-out.

Platinum is the way to go if you want to meet some of the acts backstage (and go to the after parties in style) the vip lounge was nice last year too - we went In the first day before the had it blocked off

VIP seems great for the view and accomodations, but i don't know if i would like not being in the crowd of fans. I feel the crowds and the people are half the fun of any festivals.
