I like to hear about who others have seen and how the shows were. It often helps me choose when those inevitable scheduling conflicts occur.
So far I've seen
The Black Keys - Osheaga 12 - it was a fantastic show to close the fest. They were really good, and they dropped LED bracelets on the crowd that changed colors with the music so visually, that was great. Weezer - Firefly 14- solid set, with all the songs you'd expect. They were fun, and I'm even not a huge fan. Alt J - Osheaga 13 - Honestly, I wasn't that impressed. He was more mellow than I expected, and I got a little bored (I also missed the head and the heart to see him, and I think it was a bad choice) Arkells - Osheaga 12 - one of the best shows at Osheaga that year. They were so much fun - everybody was jumping around. I'm looking forward to seeing them at a bigger stage hopefully this year 21 Pilots - Firefly 13 & 14 - these guys are a no miss show. They are fantastic, energetic, they interact with the crowd - the energy is great. X Ambassadors - Firefly 14 - really solid show - I like these guys a lot. It was a night show though, so it will be interesting to see if they can maintain their energy as a daytime show. But I'll be there. Ms Mr - Firefly 14 - I was impressed by their show - good stage presence and energy for an early day show - I'd see them again, but not if there's a conflict.

The Black Keys: twice at osheaga, once at the Bell Center. Good show, but I like them less with every new album. Probably won't see them this time.
Florence : osheaga 2012,good show but crazy huge crowd
Weezer: osheaga 2010,much better show than expected
The Decemberists : Boston Calling 2014 and a club show, loved both but then again they're my favorite band
Of Monsters And Men : 5 times, decent show and fun energy, plus Montreal loves them so the crowd is cool
Father John Misty : 2015 show of the year. Seriously, don't miss out
Kendrick Lamar : twice, hated it both times (90% crowd hyping and 10% rap)
Brand New : 3x, fun enough, nothing special

Hmmm - posted before but it's gone...
Black Keys - twice at Osheaga. 2010 was great, 2012 was okay, not planning to watch them this year unless there is nothing on the green stage (great time/place for Ben Harper, Avett Bros or The Decemberists - hint, hint).
Florence - awesome, can't wait to see her again.
Ben Harper - amazing. So talented and genuine. I am praying that the O scheduling folks get this right and don't put him against the only headliner I care about seeing (Flo). They wouldn't do that right?
St. Vincent - very theatrical, choreography is a bit distracting and weird but she is uber talented with great music.
Weezer - 2010 O show is one of my favorite performances of all time, and I've seen a lot of great shows (and I do mean A LOT)
Avett Bros - I haven't personally seen them but know a number of people who have and say they put on a hell of a show. Love their sound and their videos would support a great show coming our way.
Gary Clarke Jr. - not my thing but if you like long guitar solos (great guitarist) you will enjoy.

I'm actually liking the new Black Keys album more than the last, but if they're up against someone good, I'd probably skip them too.

The Black Keys - Bluesfest 2013. I had fun. I'll definitely go to another act I haven't seen in their time slot though.
Tyler, the Creator - Bluesfest 2014. Energetic show, it was awesome. I enjoyed it more than Gambino (which was way more packed).
Weezer - Bluesfest 2013, Osheaga 2013. Nostalgic performance, they sounded pretty good both times...which was surprising. If you haven't seen them, go for it.
What So Not - Bluesfest + club show. If you like trap, it's a good time. Emoh is a pretty good DJ.
Arkells - pretty good show but they're around ALL THE TIME. Don't waste the time slot unless you really like them. There are other artists playing that don't come here very often.

The Black Keys I saw them at a giant free show in Central Park. They were pretty good and played the hits.
Weezer (x8) Obviously, I'm a big fan, but they haven't always been the most consistent live band. Based off a show I saw them a few months ago in Philly, though, they're currently at their best, especially since the new album is their best in ages.
Alt-J They were tremendously boring at Lollapalooza a few years ago.
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (x3) I most recently saw them at Firefly last year, and they were really terrific. I don't listen to them on album at all, but they bring it as a live band.
Interpol (x2) They were great at Radio City a number of years ago. I also saw them at the Curiosa Festival back in 2004(?), but I don't really remember that one.
Hot Chip (x3) They're definitely one of the best live bands on the lineup. Total dance party.
The Decemberists (x2) I love the Decemberists on record, and they're pretty great live.
St. Vincent I saw Annie at a free show a number of years ago, and she was excellent. This was supporting the first album, so I'm sure she's even better now.
Young the Giant (x2) They were excellent as support on an Incubus tour, and they were decent enough last year at Firefly. I don't think I know enough songs by them, or they probably would have left a better impression.
Brand New (x5) I'm a big fan of Brand New on album, but they're completely hit-or-miss live. If Jesse Lacey's moody, then it's not going to be a good show.
Iron & Wine I saw him at Lollapalooza a few years ago and was quite bored. He might be better with Bridwell, though.
The Kills They were pretty good at Lollapalooza a few years ago.
Gary Clark Jr. He was fantastic at Made in America in 2012. Other than Pearl Jam, he played my favorite set at the fest.
Guster (x2) I hated them the first time I saw them, but they really were excellent two years ago with BNL/Ben Folds Five.
Desaparecidos I saw Conor and friends open for Jimmy Eat World back in 2001. They were simply awful. Among the worst live sets I've seen. I'm not a big fan of Oberst in general, though.

Here at the artists i've already seen :
Black keys : Saw them at the bell center during El camino tour. They're a good live rock band but given that i've already seen them live and that their newest record is kinda meh, i'll probably skip them.
Weezer : Saw the at the bell center back in 2011, it was a really good show. They play mostly old stuff (pinkerton-blue album era). I'm looking forward seeing them again this year
Interpol : Saw them 2 or 3 time at metropolis, they're one of my favorite band. They're not that great live if you're not familiar with their stuff i think.
Patrick watson : This guys is a genius ! Both on CD and live, it's really atmospheric rock and if the set is on one of the smaller stage, it will be probably one of the best set of 2015.
The kills : When i saw them, they had 4 people playing percussion behind them giving their music much more strenght than usual, i don't know if it will be the case at osheaga or not.
Alvvays : Great band, one of my favorite record of 2014. A bit static on stage, but their sound is really good.
Bahamas : Saw them open for the barr brothers in 2014, i was not familiar with their material. I though they were alright. The frontman is charismatic but overall the perfomance might have been a bit dull.
Klo pelgag : Local french artists i saw once. She's really great. She does wierd pop/rock. Extremly charismatic and down to earth. I saw her at a festival with a few thousands people in attendance and she was giving the impression that we could be friend.
Bernhari : I saw them twice. the frontman sing, play piano with one hand, play drum with feet and his other hand. The first time, they sounded sketchy and the mix was horrible i though. The second, it went a lot better and was actually quite good.

Weezer - Firefly 2014 - Played all the hits, sounded great, fun but not mind blowing
Edward Sharpe - Boston Calling 2014 - Lots of energy on stage, very entertaining.
Nas - Mile High 2010 - For some reason I rarely enjoy rap live, but Nas is certainly better than most. Wouldn't be to upset if I had to skip.
The Decemberists - Boston Calling 2014 - They put on an awesome show in the rain, but after a while the lead singers voice starts to give me a headache. Would catch a partial set depending on conflicts.
Milky Chance - HOB Boston 2015 - Great performance, boring crowd. I love these guys and hope the Osheaga crowd is a lot more fun. Pretty much a must see for me.
Brand New - Boston Calling 2014 - I was a huge Brand New fan in middle school and these guys managed to put on a great show without playing any of the songs I wanted to hear. Hoping they change up the setlist, but another can't miss for me.

Has anyone seen Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros now that Jade is no longer in the band?

So I have a few to add after Firefly last weekend. -Skylar Spence - they were good, but a little rough around the edges. I assume that the lead singer put together his album electronically because he said that this was only their 4th show playing together. It will be a interesting to see how they progress. -Ryn Weaver - this girl has an incredible voice and was a fun, cute show. -slyvan Esso - I was looking forward to them, but I was a little underwhelmed. Not a lot of energy. - X Ambassadors - I had seen them last year on a small stage and they were good. This time they were on a much bigger stage and they were great! The lead singer had so much energy and used the whole stage. However both were night shows, I'm not sure we'll get the same vibe at the first show of the day.. But I'll be there, right up front!
