This was our 4th Osheaga. The promoters do a good job addressing issues from past years, as usual. There were more water stations, though there were still lines. The addition of the play zone was fun, but I only went in once. I liked the move of the Vallee stage, however, they need to open it up more.
The Verte stage area needs more bathrooms and water stations. It was extremely crowded at certain times. The sound was hit or miss, leaving frustrated crowds and performers.
I am very concerned about the rumor that they will be expanding by another 15k in two years. I just don't know how that site can accommodation more people. This was, by far, the most crowded year. We started biking last year, and left early Fri and Sat, so leaving wasn't a big deal for us. They need to address that not everyone is getting onto the metro, and have an exit for those people. If they expand, they need to have a better plan to get people off the island. What would happen if they had to evacuate like Lolla did? Have the promoters even discussed an evac plan?
As a gold Pass holder, the lack of shade was an issue (more because they had plenty last year - so I view it as a step back). The bathroom situation was a disaster, though. Again, they made adjustments as the weekend went by, however - you should always have a back up plan, BEFORE you need it.
